ASSDF 60th Anniversary Cookbook 63rd NSDC Cookbook

In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Arkansas State Square Dance Federation in 2009...the ASSDF prepared a cookbook, chock full of delicious recipes submitted by Arkansas square and round dancers. Unfortunately, these cookbooks are no longer available.

However, with the 63rd National Square Dance Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas in June, 2014...their Ways And Means Committee has prepared a cookbook, called Arkansas Diamond Recipes, with the following categories:

1) Appetizers And Beverages
2) Breads And Breakfasts
3) Soups, Salads, And Sides
4) Main Dishes
5) Desserts
6) Kids Stuff And This-N-That

At the start of each chapter, there are black and white pictures of several places around Arkansas, as follows...links are provided, where available:

A) The Arkansas Scottish Festival in Batesville
B) The Wal-Mart Visitors Center In Bentonville (the very first Wal-Mart store, now a museum)
C) The William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock
D) The River Market in Downtown Little Rock
E) The Farmers Market In Fayetteville
F) One of the Grape Vineyards in Altus. The Altus Grapefest is held there each year.
G) An Old Shed In The Ozark Foothills
H) Mount Magazine State Park in Paris
I) The Old Mill In North Little Rock. This is a re-creation of an 1880 water powered Grist Mill...and it was featured in the movie ''Gone With The Wind''
J) The War Eagle Mill With Its Single Lane Bridge At Rogers
K) Thorncrown Chapel In Eureka Springs (many weddings have been held there)
L) Crater Of Diamonds State Park at Murfreesboro. This is the one place in the United States where you can search (prospect) for diamonds...and KEEP any that you find.

There is also a section on ''Fresh Fruits And Vegetables -- Fun Facts And Trivia, and every day tips and hints for food and cooking.

I believe the cookbooks are $12 each. To order your copy, to contact the General Chairman. You will need Javascript in your web browser for it to work. These should also be available for purchase at the 63rd NSDC itself, under the Ways And Means link.
